International Education

BCIL’s activities support the Law School’s wide range of International and European law teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level, as well as the research work of our PhD students, and staff. BCIL’s management team and her associates are all engaged in teaching and research in International and European Law, and many have active international profiles. For more on the BCIL team’s profile and expertise, see our expertise page.

BCIL’s contribution to the international education offered at the Law School runs alongside the work of the Law School’s other centres, the Institute for Competition & Procurement Studies and the Confucius Institute. There is also a rich Erasmus exchange environment, and exchange agreements bring in students and visiting professors from across Europe. Bangor staff regularly teach at partner institutions abroad, for example at Toulouse in France, and Cadiz in Spain. Through Erasmus, our students are offered numerous opportunities to study abroad.

Our students regularly visit the major European institutions, with students from the Business School getting to see the realities of institutions such as the European Parliament, the European Commission, and the European Court of Justice.
